Lynsey wants to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported and helped her successfully complete her first ever full marathon.

"The 45th London Marathon was a bit warm, but the supporters on route and all through the months of training for me have been smokin' hot!

I ran a personal best - OK, it was my first marathon, but a PB is a PB!

5 hours, 22 mins, 42 secs.

I wanted to finish in 5 hours the week before the marathon. On the day, I just wanted to get round, and I am absolutely chuffed to bits with my time - I had a good time, which is the best time, right?

Thank you if you were able to donate to my page, what an amazing total reached today of £3,176.

Thanks also in particular to:

  • Sue Bell and the First Sunday walkers, who gave so generously and were so supportive

  • Jo Ponting, my first rate Physio, who got me from knee pain to no pain on marathon day

  • Tri Team Wessex, who got me track training every week - brilliant - give them a tri, ha ha!  And Katy Tom,s who helped me get there.

  • Elevate, for plenty of treadmill sessions, strength coaching and bespoke sets, the best gym in Winchester.

  • Agge at Scotney Salon for the best sports massage on recovery days

  • My local running buddies, the Micho Wiggle ladies, Kate and Henry, Lexi and Max, and of course Basil the brilliant beagle!

  • My Mum and Sister, for massive support on the day and huge efforts getting into

    town by boat!

  • Nina and Kevin, and the boys for having us over to stay in Blackheath this weekend, fabulous.

  • All of you, friends, family and supporters - I am so lucky.

  • My gorgeous husband, John Francis, an absolute bedrock of support in everything I do, not least, the bloody Marathon!

That's me done (in)"
